NUTRITION

Many people lack good and ample nutrition in their diets. This is because the level and quality of nutrition in our society has dropped dramatically in recent years, compared to previous generations. The food Americans eat is devitalized. Modern technology and a fast-paced world have enabled us to eat on the run, eat too much, and eat unhealthy foods laden with sugar, fat, chemicals, and preservatives.

Many people have the misconception that eating just a "healthy diet" is a viable source of what their body needs. This is a fallacy; the nutrient content found in our food is far to depleted to satisfy the body's vital nutritional demands. Other factors that effect and can increase the nutrient demand placed on the body include; hectic lifestyle, daily stress, environmental stress, alcohol consumption, social eating habits, strenuous athletic activities, and smoking/second-hand smoke. All people encounter combinations of the above listed stresses and these combinations increase the demand placed on our bodies.

General Nutrition - General nutrition is a term used to describe a nutritional regimen/protocol that is vital for everyone and includes; essential amino acids, essential multivitamin/minerals, essential fats, and essential glyconutrients. These are sources that the body requires and will not function optimally if deficient.

Clinical Nutrition - Clinical nutrition is used for specific deficiencies or conditions that would benefit from the administration of a particular nutrient or combination of nutrients. It is a clinical science used to manage and treat specific conditions. The diagnosing physician has the responsibility to first evaluate the deficiency and then set up the proper treatment protocol to resolve the condition. This differs from general nutrition in that once the problem or condition is resolved the nutrient is no longer supplemented.

Nutritional Products - We carry nutritional supplements from a number of different companies. All the products that we utilize at our healing center are quality products that we have researched, used, and have had positive clinical results with.
